Many major metropolitan cities have both a Children’s Museum AND a Science Center; including Atlanta, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Houston, Charlotte, Raleigh, Denver and San Francisco (to name a few).
Both institutions provide valuable learning experiences but cater to different needs. Science Centers primarily focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Exhibits are designed to explain scientific concepts and phenomena.
Children's Museum emphasizes play-based learning and child development. A children's museum can encompass a wide range of focus topics such as music, theatre, art, culture, agriculture, and everyday life. To provide a holistic and enriching experience for young visitors.
Having a children’s museum would encourage the upcoming generations of children to explore all museums and attractions of our city as they grow up!

The Children’s Museum will provide spaces and exhibits for children of all socio-economic statuses, disabilities and neurodiversities, including those with autism, and the visual and hearing impaired.
It will expand awareness of the rich diversity of cultures in our city.
Through the Museums for All initiative, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free admission.

Event spaces will be available for booking events like birthday parties, weddings, and corporate events. The Children’s Museum will have a variety of programming including kids camps, as well as a space for a mixed income daycare.
